Providence National Night Out Brings Neighbors Together!

The Providence Community Association sponsored a fun-filled National Night Out that brought more than 30 residents together for an evening of fun activities, good food, and community spirit! Big thank you to Tuan who chaired the event and his team of Janise, Pat, Debbie, John & Karen.

Children enjoyed flying kites and tossing beanbags into a GIANT PUMPKIN, while adults challenged one another to a friendly game of CORNHOLE.

Residents gathered at the Clubhouse to enjoy a classic dinner of hot dogs, chips, fresh vegetables, and cookies. A thoughtful resident, Mona, also donated fresh fruit, adding to the meal and with enough for all to take some home!.

Two of the dedicated men and women who serve and protect our community joined us to share information about their important work. Officer Bonilla from Harris county / Kingsbridge MUD Police came early and stayed for a chance to meet residents and answer questions. He also brought magnets with the K MUD Police phone number for non-emergency calls (We still have more available.) And Deputy Chancellor Nichols from Kids ‘N Cops stayed for photos with kids. Meeting our first responders helps residents put faces to the people who are ready to help when we need them most.

Four residents who completed Community Surveys won our prize drawing. The lucky winners, Bernice, Inas, Melissa and Monica each took home a $25 gift certificate! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped share valuable feedback about our neighborhood.

Our block leaders helped prepare for future community events by collecting folding chairs from the Playground and returning them to their respective blocks for safekeeping until next year.

National Night Out is more than an evening of games and good food. It’s about neighbors meeting neighbors, families having fun together, and building a community where people look out for one another. Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and helped make this event a success. Together, we’re building a community where neighbors become friends!
